Delete Your Account

Matchday Manager is a mobile app for managing soccer teams, published by Matchday Manager. This page explains how to request deletion of your Matchday Manager account, what data is deleted, what may be kept, and how long the process takes.

How to request account deletion

Email us from the email address associated with your Matchday Manager account:

  1. Send an email to support@matchdaymanager.app.
  2. Use the subject line Delete my account.
  3. Send it from the email address you use to sign in, so we can verify the request. If you can no longer access that address, email us anyway and tell us the address your account was registered under.

We confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days of a verified request — usually within a few days.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data we hold about you, including:

  • Your account and sign-in credentials (your email address).
  • Your profile — display name and profile photo.
  • Your push-notification and device tokens.
  • Your event RSVPs and availability responses.
  • Direct messages and team chat messages you sent.
  • Teams you solely own: if you are the only owner of a team, that team and its roster, schedule, and match history are deleted along with your account. If you want the team to continue, transfer ownership to another member before deleting your account.

What may be kept

  • Content in teams you don't own. Posts, comments, and messages you contributed to teams owned by someone else may be retained in anonymized form (shown as "Deleted user") so the team's records and conversations stay intact for the other members.
  • Legal and safety records. We may retain a limited amount of information where we are required to by law, or to prevent fraud and abuse.

Retention period

We complete deletion of your personal data within 30 days of a verified request. Copies of data in our routine encrypted backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle. Anything we are legally required to keep is retained only for as long as that obligation lasts, then deleted.
