Matchday Manager ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. We do not collect payment information directly — any in-app purchases are handled by Apple.
Team and roster data
To provide the Service, we store information you enter, including:
- Team names, schedules, match results, and events
- Player names, jersey numbers, and positions
- Parent and guardian contact information you add (name and email)
- Chat messages and match commentary
- RSVP responses and availability
Usage data
We may collect basic usage data (such as app version and device type) to diagnose issues and improve the Service. We do not build advertising profiles.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Send push notifications and transactional emails (match reminders, schedule changes, approvals)
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database provider, on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., Supabase for database, Resend for transactional email, Apple for push notifications) — these providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Law enforcement or legal process when required by law or to protect our rights.
Within the app, team coaches and administrators can see roster and schedule information for their team. Parent/guardian contact details are only visible to the team's coach or administrator.
6. Children's Privacy
Matchday Manager is intended for use by coaches and parents/guardians (adults). We do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information directly from children under 13. Player roster information (name, number) may be entered by a coach or parent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
You may request to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data

8. Push Notifications & Email
The app sends push notifications for match reminders, schedule changes, and team activity. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's Settings. Transactional emails (like reminders) are sent to the email address on your account; you may opt out by contacting support, though this may limit your ability to receive important team updates.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
